Dancing, music, a colorful display of costumes and immense crafted floats…this is what you can see in Gualeguaychú every summer from the beginning of January to the beginning of March. This is the tradition of the carnival parade.

This festivity was first celebrated along the Main Street for a period of 4 days and later transferred to the Rocamora Avenue. However, since 1997, the Carnival has been celebrated at the former Railway Station. Initially, the railway belonged to the “General Urquiza Railway” line, but its services were cancelled in the late 80s when the tracks were removed from the city and the station was turned into a museum. It later became the “Corsodromo”, a carnival venue and the first of its kind in the area. The Corsodromo is one of the most important landmarks in the country.
